LaDoux Transport and/or Song Hill Alpaca Transport
Our
trip runs from September 7th – September 18.
Please
note: this
trip is not yet complete there are still several drop off and pick ups that are
not confirmed. Times are subject to change due to travel conditions and
incomplete schedule. We try our best to maintain our schedule or otherwise
notify you of any changes that may occur. The schedule below is just a guideline
for your use. The driver is the only one who should give you drop off and pick
up times while she is on the road.
Your
transporter for this trip is Mary LaDoux – her cell number is 603-252-6279.
Mary will contact you 24 – 48 hours prior to her arrival at your farm.
The
following list details our requirements and guidelines for the pick up and
transport of your alpaca(s).
Responsibility
You
are responsible to make arrangements with the drop off or pick up farm. We do
not make any arrangements except the timing of our farm stop.
Health Certificates
Make
sure to check the requirements of the state your animal is being transported to.
Each state is different and some will not allow entry if all requirements are
not met. If the state has no requirements, LaDoux
Transport and Song Hill Alpaca Transport still requires a clean bill
of health from a licensed veterinarian for the protection of any other alpacas
that may be on board. Have one ready for each alpaca that is to be
transported. This includes cria of any
age. Certificate can not be more than 30 days from vet signature to the drop off
date. We will leave an animal that does not have the correct health papers and
appropriate date.
Hay
We
provide hay, however you can feel free to supply us with hay to support the
needs of your animal on the trip. Remember that this will be their only
source of food during travel. If your alpaca is used to grazing on lush
grass, keep in mind that they will be consuming more hay than usual.
Due
to safety concerns we do not feed pellets/crumbles while on board.
Care Packages
If
there is anything (halters, medications, etc.) that you would like to send along
with the alpaca(s) please put these items into a small box or sealed bag and
have them clearly marked with the recipient’s name as well as the name of the
alpaca. If you have a larger package you would like to send, (such
as a bag of fiber) please call in advance to find out if we will have room.
Space is limited, but we will try our best to accommodate you.
Have the Alpaca(s) Ready
We
prefer the alpaca(s) to be haltered prior to our arrival (exceptions: cria, non
halter trained) Once they are loaded, we do not remove the halters. If you want
them back be sure you tell the driver once the animal is loaded. Leads will be
returned to you. Animals are left haltered for their safety, in the event we
need to vacate the trailer quickly.
Payment
Final
payment is due upon delivery of your animals, unless you have made prior
arrangements for payment. Please have your check ready for the driver when they
arrive.
We
truly appreciate your business and hope for a continued relationship.
If
you have any questions comments or concerns please contact
